KATHERINE RANDAZZO JONES

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2015 during a 12 p.m. Mass of Christian burial at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin for Katherine Randazzo Jones, a native and lifelong resident of Franklin, who passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at the age of 99. She will be laid to rest in the Perpetual Park Cemetery. Father Lloyd Benoit will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday at the Church of the Assumption from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 11 a.m. Eulogy will be given by her granddaughter-in-law, Morgan Polito. Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Polito, Chris Legnon, Joey Polito, Philip Hoover, Lawrence Luke Jr. and Clarence Dupre.
Katherine took great pride in her finely manicured yard and flower beds, which she so enjoyed tending to and fixing to perfection. In addition to gardening, some of her favorite pastimes were traveling, fixing up her home and watching old western TV shows. But her true passion in life was spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her two daughters, Judy Polito and her husband, Sam and Betty Legnon; her brother, Tom Randazzo, all of Franklin; three grandchildren, Carolyn Polito of The Woodlands, TX, Kevin Polito and his wife, Morgan, of Denham Springs and Christopher Legnon of Franklin; three great grandchildren, Courtney Stewart of The Woodlands, TX, Shannon Sipes and her husband, Brian, of Terre Haute, IN; and Michael Newcomb and his wife, Brandy, of Moss Bluff; five great great grandchildren, Amza and Eden Sipes of Terre Haute, IN, Braxton Stewart of The Woodlands, TX and Rayne and Ryleigh Newcomb of Moss Bluff; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Alex C. Jones; her parents, Salvatore “Sam” Randazzo and Annie Lanza Randazzo; two brothers, Camille and Sam Randazzo; two sisters, Carrie Jacquillard and Lena Dupuis; one sister-in-law, Ollie Randazzo; and one son-in-law, John Legnon Jr.
