Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 28, 2016, at 1 p.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin for Kirk Michael Domingue, a native of New Iberia, raised in Jeanerette, and a longtime resident of Franklin who passed away at the age of 60 on Sunday, January 24, 2016, at 2:45 p.m., at Lafayette General Southwest. He will be laid to rest in the Perpetual Park Cemetery in Franklin. Father Lloyd Benoit will conduct the services. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday at Ibert’s Mortuary from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Serving as pallbearers will be Micah Domingue, Brandon LeBlanc, Dennis Turner, Dominick Jackson, Tyler Thibodeaux and Jake Bertrand.
Survivors include his children, Cherie Domingue, Kirsten D. Turner and her husband, Dennis; Micah Domingue and Nicholas Domingue; his grandchildren, Callee Domingue, Caylon Domingue, Jordyn Jackson and Ty’lon Jackson; and his nephew, Joshua Domingue.
He was preceded in death by his son, Corey Domingue; his mother, Ruby M. Dupre; his father, Calvin Domingue; and his brother, Brent Domingue.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to Ibert’s Mortuary to assist with funeral expenses.
