MERCEDELL REED-WILLIAMS

Mercedell Reed-Williams, 78, a resident of Patterson, Louisiana, and a native of Katy, Louisiana, passed away at 12:30 a.m. Nov. 9, 2015, at Teche Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be observed on Friday from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 1 p.m. at the Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson with Elder Donald Lanceslin officiating the services. Burial will follow services in the Shield Cemetery in Patterson.
She is survived by her son, Leo Cormier (Barbara) of Patterson; eight daughters, Eveline Dyer, Mrs. Ethen (Elnora) Willis, Mrs. Leroy (Agnes) Willis and Mrs. Willie (Rebecca) Williams all of Patterson, Mrs. Isaiah (Antoinette) Watson and Georgette Cormier (John Simmons) of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Debbie Henderson of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, Wardell Reed, Sr. of Crowley; three sisters, Beulah Christman of Crowley Myrtle Jackson of Sorrel. and Mrs. George (Doris) Favors Sr. of Patterson; 33 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, father and mother, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four sisters and seven brothers.
