PAMELA ACKERMAN HENSON

LAFAYETTE — A memorial service celebrating the life of Pamela Ackerman Henson will be held from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, at the Henson residence, 100 Cherry Bark Lane, Lafayette, LA 70508.
Pamela, age 60, was born Oct. 12, 1954, and passed away peacefully at her home on Sept. 24, 2015.
She was known as “Pam” to those that knew her. She was a past employee of Berwick Junior High School, where she worked for many years. She was a good cook and had a big heart.
Pamela endured the challenges of many chronic illnesses while maintaining a “happy-go-lucky” attitude, until the end of her life.
She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Pam leaves behind many fond memories with her husband, Roger Henson Sr. of Lafayette; and her son, Roger Henson II and his wife, Jacqueline, and their three children, Kylie, Cole, and Luke Henson, all of Lafayette. Other survivors include her four siblings, Alvin (Carol) Ackerman Jr. and Barbara (Thomas Jr.) Rivet, both of Morgan City, Michael (Robin) Ackerman of Centerville, and Phyllis Dinger of Patterson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Ackerman Sr. and Edith Marie Landry Ackerman; and two sisters, Rose Mary Landry and Patricia Angeron.
