PATRICK J. CARRIERE

Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at 3 p.m. in Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Patrick J. Carriere, age 85, who passed away Oct. 29, 2015, at his residence in Carencro.
Interment was in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Carencro. The Rev. Mark Ledoux, pastor of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, officiated the services.
Mr. Carriere was a native and lifelong resident of Carencro where he was a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. He retired from McDermott Fabrication in 1986.
Survivors include two sons, Terry Lee Carriere and his wife, Kim, of Carencro and Duane Patrick Carriere and his wife, Kristi, of Bayou Vista; two brothers, Rayland Carriere and his wife, Ann, of Harvey and Norbert Carriere of Marrero; one sister, Mary Ann Hanks and her husband, John, of Carencro; five grandchildren, Joshua Carriere, Brittni Carriere Pace, Jennifer Carriere, Kristin Carriere Percle and Derek Carriere; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aristille Carriere and the former Maydelle Castille; three brothers, Sebastian Carriere, Oran Carriere and Uallen Carriere; and two sisters, Rosa Mae C. Woodfin and Euline Burregi.
A rosary was prayed at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Visiting hours were observed from 9 a.m. until service time on Friday.
Pallbearers were Derek Carriere, Duane Carriere, Terry Carriere, Jennifer Carriere, Troy Pace and Ronny Adams.
