Robert David Sr.

October 6, 1935-April 7, 2016
Robert David Sr., a longtime resident of Patterson, was called to his heavenly home Thursday, April 7, 2016. Robert was 80 years young when he passed and up until six months ago, could run circles around people half his age. There is a high possibility that he’s already started his own garden in the heavens above, and has taken to cutting the grass with a military-like meticulousness.
Robert was seldom seen without his well-known ear-to-ear smile and an eagerness to see how life’s been treating you. He held many interests in life like gardening, working with horses, tending to his animals, and spending time with his family. The family jokester, he enjoyed picking on family members for a smile. Robert’s unique laugh accompanied with his trademarked thigh slap will forever be missed by those who knew him and his humor best.
Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 56 years, Betty Guillory David of Patterson; his son, Robert David Jr. of Patterson; his two grandsons, Kennith and Robert Paul David; numerous nieces; one nephew; and other abundant family members.
He has been reunited in heaven with his parents, Forrest and Marie David; four sisters; two brothers; and several in-laws; and there is a high probability that he is sharing all the family news … the good and the funny.
Visitation and time of remembrance for Robert will be held Monday, April 11, 2016, from 9 a.m. until time of mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson. A Mass of Christian burial will follow visitation at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Robert being laid to rest in the church mausoleum following services.
