ROSE MAE 'WUZ' VIDOS BROUSSARD

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, during an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. Jules Catholic Church in Franklin for Rose Mae “Wuz” Vidos Broussard, a native of Morgan City and a 68-year resident of Franklin who passed away at the age of 84 on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. She will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery. The Rev. Cedric Sonnier will officiate the Mass and conduct the services.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at Ibert’s Mortuary from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visiting hours will resume Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Jules Catholic Church and continue until time of Mass.
Survivors include her daughters, Shelly B. Parker of Berwick and Roxanne B. Welch and her husband, Richard, of Tampa, Florida; three brothers, Jerry Vidos, Wayne Vidos and James Vidos; four sisters, Mary Ann Prados, Betty Coulter, Lucy Wilkinson and Faith Boynt; five grandchildren, Adam Welch, Nicholas Welch, Kyle Parker, Keth Parker and Kristy Parker Ellison; a special niece, Veronica Lucas and her father, Ray Broussard; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and her beloved cat, Ding.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Beverly Bernard Bergeron Broussard; her parents, John Vidos Sr. and Myrtle Froreich Vidos; four brothers, Frederick, John Jr., Bo, and Carl Vidos; one sister, Liz Gayman; and her son-in-law, Ron Parker.
