SAMUEL D. MITCHELL

Samuel D. Mitchell, 39, a resident and native of Franklin, died suddenly Wednesday, November 11, 2015, on Highway 90 East in Patterson, as the result of a pedestrian/automobile accident.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, Nov. 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Otis Mortuary Chapel.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 1 p.m., at the mortuary, with Pastor Jules Anderson III officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Jules Catholic Church Cemetery in Franklin.
Survivors include his mother, Gladys Mitchell Johnson of Franklin; one son, Samuel I. Johnson of Franklin; two daughters, Sasha T. Johnson and Savannah N. Phillips, both of Franklin; one brother, Henry Mitchell of Franklin; one sister, Devine Mitchell of New Iberia; one grandchild; and grandmother, Elizabeth W. Johnson.
Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his father, Henry Johnson III.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
