SHIRLEY MAE MILLET
September 7, 1949- January 24, 2016
Shirley Mae Millet, 66, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, surrounded by her family at Ochsner Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 7, 1949, in Morgan City, the daughter of John Mire Sr. and Lenola Giroir Mire.
Shirley was a kind, gentle soul that put smiles on the faces of everyone around her. She was a hard worker who loved her job and work family at National Technologies. Shirley loved her church family, enjoyed reading and lived for her children and grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Bruce Millet Jr. and wife, Elizabeth, of Morgan City; one daughter, Melissa Millet of Coden, Alabama; two sisters, Nancy Breaux and husband, Whiley, of Eunice, and Lisa Fontenot of Morgan City; four grandchildren, Lauren Pearce and husband, Jacob, Tatiana Brobbel, Dayanera Brobbel and Duncan Begley; two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Grace and Zelda Rae; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, John Mire Sr. and Lenola Mire; two brothers, John “Butch” Mire Jr. and Melvin Mire Sr.; and one sister, Alice Mae Mire.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, at Higher Ground Family Church in Stephensville.

Twin City Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
