Verdia M. Gooding

INGLESIDE, TEXAS — Verdia M. Gooding, 90, passed away on Nov. 16, 2014. She was born on June 4, 1924, in Red Bay, Alabama, to Henry and Georgia Moxley.
She was a member of the Coastal Bend Family Worship Center.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Gooding; and brothers, Ernest Moxley, Owen Moxley and Eugene Moxley.
She is survived by a son, James Gooding Jr., of Aransas Pass, Texas; daughters, Kristy Lynn Viducic (Ivan) of Ingleside, Texas, and Sherril Renee Hillis (Calvin) of Aransas Pass, Texas; sister, Vetrial Comeaux of Cleveland, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, at The Palms Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Portland, Texas.
