VERNON STACY

Vernon Stacy, 73, a resident of Jeanerette and native of Four Corners, passed away on Saturday April 9, 2016 at the Maison Teche Nursing Home in Jeanerette, at 11:48 a.m.
Vernon was a Veteran of the United States Army, receiving an Honorable Discharge.
The East St. Mary Veteran Funeral Squad will perform at graveside.
Visitation will be observed on Saturday, April 16, from 11 a.m. until funeral services at 2 p.m., at the St. John Baptist Church in Four Corners. The Rev. Dr. David Jones, pastor, and the Rev. Dr. Michael Williams will officiate. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the St. John Church Cemetery.
Memories of Vernon will forever remain in the hearts of his wife, Alma Jackson Stacy of Los Angeles, CA; four sons, John Tardy of Glencoe; Troy Stacy of Los Angeles, CA; Jarrel Stacy of Hawthorne, CA; and Brandon Stacy of Atlanta, GA; one daughter, Mrs. Williams (Veronica Stacy) Adams of Los Angeles, CA; two brothers, William Stacy of Four Corners; and Alton Stacy of Los Angeles, CA; five sisters, Ernie Mae Crosby of New York, NY and Sarah Simpson, Mrs. Isaac (Annie Lee) Jackson, Bobbie Marks and Mrs. Roland (Mary Alice) Charles, all of Four Corners; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
