WARREN ‘TOOTSIE’ JAMES JR.

Warren “Tootsie” James Jr., 58, a native and resident of Berwick, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 5:16 a.m., at the Patterson Health Care Center in Patterson.
Visitation will be observed on Thursday, December 10, at Deep Waters Ministries 1120 Lia St., in Patterson, from 8 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. The Overseer Muriel Brown will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Ibert’s Memorial Park in Patterson.
Known as “Tootsie” to all who knew and loved him, Warren leaves his legacy of love with his loving wife, Deborah Declouet James of Berwick; his beloved mother, Myrtle James of Bayou Vista; two sons, Derace James (Irma) of Lafayette and Dalton Alexander Jr. of Patterson; one daughter, Adrian I. Baytop of Patterson; five sisters, Bessie Jones of Morgan City, Elizabeth Griffin, Geraldine James and Carolyn James, all of Berwick, and Mrs. Richard (Annie) Gant of Patterson; 12 grandchildren; five godchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, dear friends and loved ones.
Warren was preceded in death by his father, a sister, and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
