Lady Eagles win quarterfinal game, move on to semis

In a pitching duel that kept the game at 0-0 for 8 innings, Central Catholic's Bridgette Swan drew a bases-loaded walk to score Brooke Lipari and secure the Lady Eagles a quarterfinals win at the Louisiana High School Athletic Association state tournament at Frasch Park in Sulphur today.
Central Catholic advances to the Class 1A semifinals. The Lady Eagles, the No. 4 seed, will return to the field Saturday, May 2, at 11 a.m. when they face No. 1 seed Catholic High-Point Coupee. Catholic High advance after knocking off No. 8 St. Mary 7-0.
