The New Orleans Saints/Pelicans/Gatorade Junior Training Camp visited Holy Cross Elementary in Morgan City recently. The training camp was sponsored locally by Whitney/Hancock Bank. This training camp is held in conjunction
with NFL PLAY 60. Following an introduction by Saints camp facilitator Adriel Rocha, third-, fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade participants were divided into groups that rotated through seven non-contact stations developed with football, basketball and fun in mind. The curriculum was designed so that anybody can perform the
skills regardless of age, gender or experience. The camp’s goal is to get more kids to remain active and eat well while influencing them to be better people. Above, Holy Cross Elementary sixth-grader Jackson Butler makes a block while
Whitney representative Dean Listi Jr. looks on. (Submitted Photo/Courtesy of Holy Cross Elementary)
