Morgan City Junior High volleyball coach Allise Jennings collects a donation from Patterson State Bank, presented by Asia Breaux, head teller in Morgan City. The volleyball team held its third annual walkathon Saturday and its Pink Game Thursday. The funds raised during these events will be donated to Miles Perret Cancer Services and will be dispersed to families in the area undergoing cancer treatment that may be in need of assistance.

A Back to School Volleyball Camp was held at Morgan City Junior High School for seventh and eighth grade volleyball teams Monday and Tuesday. Morgan City Junior High School sent 260 students to the movies May 16 for having good behavior for the entire year. The reward is part of the Positive Behavior Intervention and Support Program. Darlene Toups of Lake Cinema hosted the class and the Morgan City Police Department provided escort from the school.
