Morgan City High School dropped its regular season finale to Assumption High School, 42-35 Friday in Morgan City. Morgan City finished its season with a 2-8 overall mark and 0-4 in District 7-4A. The Morgan City and Assumption football teams didn’t have the seasons they hoped for, but they went toe-to-toe in Friday’s season finale with the Mustangs winning a shootout, 42-35.
