DEACON LARRY FINISTER

Deacon Larry Finister, 60, a native of San Jose, CA and resident of Berwick, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 12:45 a.m., on Highway 90 in Ricohoc, LA.
Deacon Larry was employed, more than a decade, with Mark Tool and Rubber in Garden City, LA, as a laborer and blaster painter. His last job at his passing was with the Patterson Pipe in Morgan City.
He served in the United States Army.
Left to cherish wonderful memories are his father, John Henry Finister III of San Jose, CA; his three brothers, John Henry Finister IV of Berwick, Jon Jon Finister and Trenton Finister, both of San Jose, CA, and Bruce Finister of Stalking, CA; three sisters, Pamela Morgan and Anita Finister, both of Modesto, CA; and Estella Robles of Arizona; 41 nieces and nephews; 37 great nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and many friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Washington Finister of Houma.
Inurnment will take place in the San Joaquin National Cemetery in Gustine, CA at a later scheduled date.
Jones Funeral Home, Inc. of Morgan City, Franklin, Jeanerette and Houma has been entrusted with final arrangements.
