Audrey A. Bourgeois, 93, a native of Donner and resident of Gibson, passed away on Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, at Terrebonne Regional Medical Center in Houma.
Audrey was a devoted and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always put her family first. Audrey was loved deeply by her family and friends and she will be sorely missed.
Audrey is survived by her four sons, Vincent Bourgeois, of Donner, Michael Bourgeois and wife, Beulah, of Gibson, Francis Bourgeois, of Gibson, and Patrick Bourgeois and wife, Sylvia, of Gibson; two daughters, Patricia Robisheaux and husband, Solly, of Gibson, and Bernadine Duval and husband, Danny, of Gibson; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sister Frances Louviere and Gertrude LeBlanc; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph I. Bourgeois; parents, Otis and Lucille Louviere; one daughter, Ann E. Bourgeois; one sister, Sister Marion Louviere; and one grandson, Danny J. Duval.
Visitation will take place today, Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, at Twin City Funeral Home beginning at 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and resume on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, at the funeral home at 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Gibson. She will be laid to rest in the St. Patrick Cemetery in Gibson.
