Centra Catholic High School held its Pink Game Tuesday against South Terrebonne. Prior to the match, the Lady Eagles gathered for a check presentation to Debbie Acosta of Oncologics. The $1,200 donation is for the “fight against breast cancer.” On the court, the Lady Eagles, ranked No. 8 in the latest Louisiana High School Athletic Association Division V power rankings, upset South Terrebonne, ranked No. 4 in Division II. Central Catholic's High School and Junior High School volleyball programs gather with Debbie Acosta of Oncologics for a check presentation prior to Thursday's varsity volleyball contest with Houma Christian. The players raised $2,082 through a variety of ways, such as T-shirt sales and securing sponsorships. The money raised will go to the St. Mary Parish Louisiana Foundation for Cancer Care/Oncologics and Miles Perret Cancer Services and will be used to help those in St. Mary Parish battling breast cancer.
