When the St. Mary PONY 14-year-old All-Stars take the field Thursday, they will do so as at least the last east St. Mary Parish team still playing any kind of youth baseball this summer.
St. Mary’s Pony 14-year-old All-Stars finished as runner-up at the Pony 14 & Under Super Region Tournament in Youngsville Sunday, falling to the tournament’s undefeated squad, Crowley, 10-0 in six innings. Despite the loss, St. Mary has qualified for the Pony South Zone Tournament in Burleson, Texas, which begins July 31. St. Mary Pony 14-year-old All-Stars bounced back from a tough loss to the Crowley Nationals with three consecutive wins before falling again to Crowley in the Super Region title game.
The St. Mary Pony 14-year-old All-Stars fell 16-0 to the Crowley Nationals Wednesday at the Pony 14 & Under Super Region Tournament.
