LSU track standout Vernon Norwood capped his collegiate career Friday with NCAA titles in both the 400-meter run and the 4x400-meter relay at the NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Norwood,
a 2011 Morgan City High School graduate, said this morning that he will turn professional and run in the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships, which will be held June 25-28 in Eugene, Oregon, as he attempts to qualify for the U.S. National team to compete at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing, China, which will be held Aug. 22-30.
