THIBODAUX — Berwick’s offense ran into a roadblock on the mound, while its defense faltered late in a 10-0 run-rule loss to E.D.

Morgan City High School swept a District 7-4A doubleheader with Ellender in two run-rule games in five innings Thursday. The Tigers won the first game 12-2 and followed it up with a 22-0 win. In game two, Morgan City’s Philip Hutchinson, above, tossed a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts. With the wins, Morgan City is 5-1 in district with a half-game lead over Assumption.
