The Morgan City Tigers fell for just the second time this year as Franklin High School defeated them, 73-70 Tuesday.
Central Catholic High School won its season opener against Berwick Thursday at
Centerville’s Tournament of the Teche with a 47-34 victory. Above, Central

Central Catholic used a fourth-quarter surge to secure a 47-34 victory against Berwick in Division 1 opening round action at Centerville’s Tournament of the Teche Thursday.

Morgan City High School edged North Vermilion, 42-40, in Morgan City’s home opener Monday. Laqwaishas Bourgeois, above with the ball, led Morgan City with 21 points. Morgan City will return to action Friday when it plays Central Catholic at
