The Berwick and Patterson high school track teams competed in District 9-3A action at Franklin High Thursday. The Lady Panthers placed second and the while the Panthers were third. The Lumberjacks were fourth, and the Lumberjills were fifth. Additionally, Berwick’s Ashton Morales and Corrinne Benandi were named Outstanding Performer and Field MVP, respectively, while Patterson’s Daylon Charlot was named boys’ Field MVP. MCHS squeezes out 6-5 win against Berwick

MORGAN CITY — In a back-and-forth game, Morgan City had just enough to squeeze out a victory in a 6-5 win against Berwick Thursday at Tiger Diamond.
